A bit about me…

Born and raised in Sydney I am married with two kids. I have over 11 years of experience in the automotive and vehicle salary packaging industries and also consider myself a bit of a handyman. My wife and I recently did our first skydive and I think I’m addicted.

My AutoPackage

As I said I am a bit of a handyman and I wanted something that I could throw things
in the back of. I also needed seating for four for those occasional family trips to Bunnings. I searched far and wide, test drove a few different utes and eventually found the right combination of features and comfort in the Navara. As I travel 100km per day to and from the office I chose the turbo diesel version over the petrol model for its better fuel consumption and better resale value. After looking at my budget I decided to find a second hand one to save a few dollars and maximise the profit at re-sale time. I found my Navara at a dealership in Victoria, negotiated a very sharp price and flew down there to drive it home to Sydney. I chose to package it over three years as this gave me the best Total-Lifetime-Cost™ result and fitted in well with my budget.

Favourite road trip

This a tough one for me as my wife and I have had so many great road trips over
the years. Before we had children we would get in the car, pick a direction and go, sometimes for a couple of weeks. Along the way we would gather information from tourist information centres or NRMA/RAC offices. We would stay wherever we ended up. We would visit small country towns in the middle of nowhere, climb mountains, hire boats and camp near rivers. We even had a road trip honeymoon which took us south west over a few days to the Murray River where we hired a house boat for a few more days, and then back through central NSW. We have seen a lot of things and met a lot of interesting people on our road trips and still like to do them with the kids, although we plan ahead these days.

What I like most about Autopia

We have a great team of people that truly enjoy helping others to improve their vehicle situation and a structure that enables us to provide a service that is second to none. I love being in this environment and with my years of industry experience I have found this to be a rare thing.
