A bit about me…
I immigrated to Australia in 1987 from Canada – I got sun burnt on the first day I arrived (first day of Australia’s winter) and I decided then and there I’d never go back to my frozen homeland. When I arrived in Sydney, the RTA provided me my drivers license without any type of test at all! I thought that to be quite strange given I was used to driving on the other side of the road and opposite side of the car! There were certainly a couple of interesting driving moments to begin with but I now find driving when back in Canada very strange instead.
I’ve got two handsome young teenage sons - Aidan and Kieren - and a gorgeous husband Andrew, all who make me very proud. I’m a passionate ballroom and latin dancer, a photographer and also the founder of Women Building Wealth, an organisation that teaches women of all ages how to manage their money and build wealth for their futures. I am also the first woman Director of City Tattersalls Club.
My AutoPackage
In previous roles I’d always been provided with company cars, I’d never really been given any choice of what car I’d actually like to drive. I was interested in a Commodore to begin with, but the numbers just didn’t add up. Then I test drove a Subaru Liberty, and loved it. Go figure eh? I bought an ex-demo vehicle with all the bells and whistles, which saved me some money on the purchase price, and the best part, I didn't have to wait to drive it home. I drive less than 15,000 km a year, and I have a small percentage of business use, so I chose to package my car over three years, providing the best tax benefit possible.
First car
1964 Holden Kingswood with no power steering, no air-conditioning but fantastic
big bench seats!
Favourite road trip
Driving around Tasmania in the summertime. There is so much diversity and natural beauty in such a small area of land. You can drive from top to bottom in about three hours and the contrast of the east coast to the windswept west coast and the beauty of Cradle Mountain certainly provided me loads of fantastic holiday photos. I even found a town called Paradise - and it hadn’t been turned into a parking lot yet - like the song says!

What I like most about Autopia
Autopia take a lot of time and care in choosing the right people to deliver on their service quality promises – and the teamwork here is something to be really proud of. Everyone works hard but equally plays hard too – especially at Wii tennis!
