A bit about me…
I was born in Piombino, Italy and arrived in Australia back in 1981. The Italian blood in me makes me a football (soccer) tragic and motor racing enthusiast, but the Australian in me loves nothing more than sitting in front of the TV or at the MCG watching the Boxing Day test. I have a degree in Industrial Design because I wanted to design sexy cars but ended up starting my own business while at University, importing them instead. Have been in the motor industry ever since, about 10 years, in various capacities because it's fun, and never a chore, to talk about something you love with other people.
My AutoPackage
Currently in between cars due to a very expensive wedding! I do have my eye on either a Polo Gti or Fiesta ST and plan to package over 3 years and will be doing very low mileage due to my living 4km from work!
First car
Canary Yellow Holden Gemini SL hand me down from my father. Loved the car until my dad made me send it over to Perth for my sister to destroy (no bitterness)!! Had an interesting ability to switch itself off going round corners or through intersections in the wet.
Favourite road trip
This would have to be my lap of Germany during the 2006 World Cup in a Mercedes Vito with four other mates. The combination of seeing Australia play at the World Cup for the first time in 24 years, friendly people, beautiful scenery and incredible autobahns made it a truly memorable experience. Testing the top speed of the Vito without breaking the law was interesting and surprisingly fast!
What I like most about Autopia
The working environment here is fantastic. We all have a genuine interest in our customers and work hard to get the best results for them. I love cars and talking about them so it is a dream job in most ways.
