A bit about me…
I was born in Tamworth and moved to Sydney when I was three. Outside of work, my wife and I are kept extremely busy with our two amazing young boys, Oliver and Bailey. When possible I try and sneak in a round of golf or two as well...
Unlike most of my friends who enjoyed the fruits of life at university after school, I accepted a cadetship with KPMG. This meant working full-time during the day and completing my Bachelor of Commerce degree at night. I learned a huge amount during that period about what makes successful companies tick, and also about what makes for a happy work life - following your passion.
From as early as I can remember I couldn't wait to start driving, and nothing has changed. After KPMG I moved into the novated leasing industry to combine my tax and accounting knowledge with my passion for cars... all these years later I still love it.
My AutoPackage
I package two cars, one for my wife and family, and one for my daily use. Our first AutoPackage is for the family hauler, the VE Commodore SS-V
Sportwagon. I love the blend of good looks, performance (especially with
a manual box) and family practicality, it's hard to beat. My passion
for fast cars has definitely rubbed off on my wife who loves the power
of the big V8! I bought the car new but received a substantial fleet discount which helps offset the depreciation.
My daily driver is a 2011 Volkswagen Golf GTi. This is the second GTi I
have owned and I still think that there is no car around that can match
it for fun, build quality and value. It also retains its value
exceptionally well, which helps make my novated lease more profitable at
the end of the term.
First car
1986 VL Holden Commodore in racing beige. I bought it from a good mate who had rebuilt the engine and gearbox (twice) so it had plenty of power considering its low weight. In fact the paint was falling off so fast that it kept getting lighter by the week!
Favourite road trip
My wife and I just took a driving holiday through Italy and I would have
to say that the roads through Tuscany, especially around Chianti where
we were staying, are the best I have ever driven. Endless fast and
flowing corners, combined with Polizia who are not too bothered by a
little spirited driving.
We started our trip in Milan and drove through some incredibly tight
roads to Bellagio on Lake Como which was a very interesting experience
after a 24 hour flight. From there we headed to Venice, Bologna,
Tuscany, Lucca, Cinque Terre and finally finishing in Florence 12 days
later. What an amazing experience!

Interesting roads on the shores of Lake Como..
The Autostradas' throughout Italy were such a contrast to the freeways
in Australia, speed limits up to 150 km/ph and a genuine fast lane where
even those limits seem to be no more than a general suggestion!
What I like most about Autopia
What impresses me so much about Autopia is the genuine care that is
shown to each of our clients. Everyone really does go the extra mile to
ensure that our drivers achieve the best outcome possible, and it’s no
surprise that we deliver the highest level of service available in the
industry, hands down.
I am very fortunate to work in an environment where we are able to make
such a positive impact on the financial position of our clients.
